This is crazy how these bad decisions over and over in title fights go against Hendricks. This will harm his legacy and the record which everyone looks at the end. He is a true champ and one of the greatest already. Lawler and Rory are good but he is just class apart.
I like lawler but I would have scored the fight for Hendricks. We always hear about those Vegas judges. It does seem like Hendricks was trying to coast a bit by keeping Lawler against the cage but overall he controlled the octagon. It'll be interesting to see if and when Hendricks goes to middleweight.
I don't understand how anyone thinks Hendricks won the first round. It's absolutely insane. He doesn't do anything for the first 4 minutes excepts lean on Lawler while eating knees the entire time. Then he gets a take down in the last 30 secs and lays on top of him and somehow that's suppose to win him the around. It's like people score the round based on what happens in the last 30 secs and ignores everything else. Hendricks wasn't robbed in this fight. Scoring rounds 1,4 and 5 for Lawler makes perfect sense.
