DC will be champion for a while unless he fights Jones or Rumble again but only time will tell. I wish DC would of utilized his Olympic gold metal caliber wrestling but a win is a win!!!

ReplyDeleteWhat a great fight !! But ,sadly for Alexander there is one crucial fact why he will never be a champion,take a look at his face and the face of the almost ten years younger DC who had the pace ,stamina,a a big gas tank for such a great tall striker with only one flaw..he can't take or give a knockout punch.That's what he does not have,to be the champion.Stipe has that all,DC too,Jon Jones too,A.jones too-like I sad..that is a BIG factor to be a champ but sadly Gustafsson lost against all the big names I mentioned before only cuz he has not that devastating hard chin,jaw and the hard one punch knockout.After this fight...gosh..I would be NOT in his skin because tomorrow he will feel like very,very,very painful-broken nose,a broken tooth,swollen face...etc.
ReplyDeleteGustafsson lacked some conditioning and fight IQ here. In spite of good boxing skills, he can't fight backwards a la Carlos Condit. Gus seemed unable to exit both ways when pressured. He was only exiting to his right. That will make you a runner not a matador.
